Eyelid surgery

The surgery may be performed on upper or lower eyelids or both of them at the same time. The procedure is aimed at removing excess eyelid skin and wrinkles around the eyes. In the upper lid, the incision is performed in the eyelid fold, whereas in the lower eyelid it is performed below the eyelashes. The sutures are removed in 5 to 7 days. Natural appearance is obtained in 10 days, and the final results of the procedure can be estimated in approximately one month.
The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia.
